Terms & Conditions
This quotation is for the goods named and is subject to the terms and conditions outlined below.
By placing an order and paying a deposit, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Cake Design & Consultation
Briefly describe your degree and any other highlights about your studies you want to share. Be sure to include relevant skills you gained, accomplishments you achieved or milestones you reached during your education.
2. Ingredients & Dietary Requirements
All cakes are baked to order and contain dairy products. Gluten-free cakes are available; however, please note that my kitchen is used to prepare products containing gluten, nuts, dairy, and other allergens.
Please discuss any dietary requirements or allergies prior to placing your order.
3. Tastings​
Cake tastings are available by appointment. Please advise at the time of booking if there are specific flavours you would like to sample.
A tasting fee applies. This fee will be credited toward your final order when an order over $700 is placed.
4. Serving Sizes
Two standard portion sizes are offered:

Dessert portions: approximately 1” x 2” x 5” high, typically selected when the cake is served as the main dessert.

Coffee portions: approximately 1” x 1” x 5” high, typically selected when the cake is served alongside other desserts or with tea and coffee.
Serving numbers are estimates only. Specialty cakes, carved cakes, tier shapes, and individual venue cutting methods may affect final portion numbers.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept these variables. Cake cutting guides (excluding carved cakes) are provided with all orders.
5. Orders & Notice Periods

Celebration cakes require a minimum of one month’s notice and are secured with a deposit.

Wedding cakes require a minimum of three months’ notice and are secured with a deposit.
Short-notice orders may be accommodated at my discretion, subject to availability and design requirements.
6. Pricing & Quote Validity
All quotes are based on current pricing at the time of issue and are valid for 7 days unless otherwise stated.
For wedding cakes booked more than 12 months in advance, pricing may be subject to review due to changes in ingredient costs, supplier pricing, or operational expenses.
Final pricing will be confirmed prior to issuing the balance invoice.
7. Deposits
Deposits become due once you have checked, confirmed, and approved the details of your order. Your date will be held for up to one week pending receipt of the deposit. Orders are not considered confirmed until the deposit is received.

Celebration cakes require a non-refundable deposit of 50%. Orders placed within 14 days of the collection date must be paid in full at the time of ordering.

Wedding cakes require a non-refundable deposit of 50%. Orders placed within one month of the wedding date must be paid in full at the time of ordering.
All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable except as required under the Australian Consumer Law. In the unlikely event that I need to cancel your order, all deposits paid will be fully refunded. Reasons for cancellation may include serious illness, injury, medical conditions, or an accident involving myself or an immediate family member.
8. Final Balance Payments

For celebration cakes, the balance may be paid in cash on collection/delivery. Payments by bank transfer must be received no later than 21 days prior to delivery or collection.

Final payment for wedding cakes is required no later than four weeks before the delivery date.
Cakes will not be released until full payment has been received. No responsibility is accepted for any loss arising from non-delivery due to non-payment.
9. Non-Payment
If full payment for a wedding cake is not received 28 days prior to the delivery, collection, or set-up date, the order will be deemed cancelled. The cancellation policy will apply, and the deposit will be forfeited.
10. Cake Design & Alterations
Please carefully review your quote and order details. It is your responsibility to notify me in writing of any requested changes.
All cakes are handmade and unique. Photos from other cake makers are used for inspiration only. Final designs will be created using my professional judgement.
Once design details are approved in writing, the design is considered final. Amendments may result in additional charges, including costs for supplies already purchased.

Changes cannot be accepted within seven days of delivery/collection for celebration cakes or within four weeks of the wedding date.
11. Progress Photos
Blissful Inspirations Cakes does not provide progress or in-process photographs. In-progress images do not accurately represent the final product. For this reason, Blissful Inspirations Cakes does not provide progress or in-process photographs.
The completed cake will be presented on the scheduled delivery or collection date.
12. Change of Occasion Date
If you need to change your event date, I will attempt to accommodate the new date where possible. This cannot be guaranteed and is subject to availability.
If I am fully booked on the new date, deposits remain non-refundable and non-transferable. Wedding insurance is strongly recommended.
13. Collection & Responsibility
​Collection times must be pre-arranged. A signature is required on collection or delivery, confirming receipt in good condition.

Once collected or delivered and signed for, responsibility for the cake transfers to the client. No liability is accepted for damage thereafter.
14. Delivery
​Delivery arrangements should be confirmed at the time of ordering.

Free delivery applies within a 5 km radius for orders over $50.

Orders under $50 within 5 km incur a $5 delivery fee.

Deliveries beyond 5 km will be quoted based on distance, tolls (if applicable), and travel time.

Distances are calculated using Google Maps.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure correct delivery details are provided and that the venue is accessible at the agreed time. Waiting time will be charged at $55 per hour or part thereof. If no one is available to receive the cake, it will be returned to my business and re-delivery will incur an additional fee.
15. Set-Up & Display Conditions
Please ensure the cake table is level, stable, and suitable for the cake’s weight. Environmental conditions, including heat and humidity, are beyond my control.
Chocolate and buttercream cakes may melt in warm conditions. Once set up and signed for, I am not responsible for interference or damage.​​
​​​16. Non-Edible Decorations
Cakes may contain non-edible items such as supports, wires, ribbons, or flower holders. These must be removed before serving. I accept no responsibility for failure to do so.
17. Fresh Flowers
Where fresh flowers are used, they are prepared for safe placement. Some flowers are
not food-safe. Responsibility rests with the client to ensure flower suitability.
No responsibility is accepted for flowers supplied by third parties.
18. Quality, Storage & Consumption
Cakes should be stored in a cool, dry place and consumed as close to the delivery or collection date as possible. Consumption beyond 48 hours is at the client’s discretion.
Once delivered, responsibility for storage and consumption transfers to the client, and Blissful Inspirations Cakes is indemnified from liability.
19. Allergies
All cakes are produced in a kitchen that handles nuts, dairy, gluten, soy, and other allergens.
I cannot guarantee allergen-free products. It is the client’s responsibility to inform guests.
20. Weather
Weather conditions, including heat and humidity, can affect cakes. Cakes should be transported in air-conditioned vehicles where possible. I accept no responsibility for weather-related damage
21. Liability & Refunds
​Where damage is proven to be directly caused by my business, a partial or full refund may be offered, where appropriate, at my discretion. Proof must be provided immediately.
Once the cake is in the client’s possession, no liability is accepted for damage arising from handling, display conditions, or environmental factors
22. Force Majeure
I shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, power outages, government restrictions, or supplier failure
23. Publication
I reserve the right to photograph all cakes and use images for marketing, advertising, and social media purposes. No compensation will be payable
24. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
